Rejig
I'm going to try something

Because I’ve been travelling a lot this week, mostly reviewing out of London for The Times (lots of writing on trains, which are definitely not designed for that, at least not if the people writing are not, I’d guess, about 6’4”), I’m a bit behind.
So I’m going to take this opportunity to try something, which is to shift the big Thursday bulletin, which has recently become the big Friday bulletin (for the reasons above, which are not confined to this week), to become the big Monday bulletin, to see what effect that has, if any, on readership and engagement, and also to give myself the weekend’s grace to work on it sometimes if necessary.
It is an experiment. If you, dear readers, have any views on it, positive, negative or neutral, I’d appreciate you putting them in the comments, either on this post or on Monday, or any future Monday.
Have a great weekend (in which you can see loads of really interesting gigs at the New Music Biennial, being held at the Southbank Centre from today until Sunday July 6; Sabrina Carpenter at BST Hyde Park tomorrow – or indeed Lana Del Rey at Wembley tonight; you can catch Quadrophenia: A Mod Ballet at Sadler’s Wells, with four performances between now and Sunday; you can try and see Moon for the Misbegotten at the Almeida with Ruth Wilson and Michael Shannon but it’ll be returns only; you could check out Permindar Kaur and Prem Sahib at Pitzhanger, which looks extremely weird and intriguing…) and I’ll be back on Monday with the usual OPINIONS and IDEAS for what to do in London.
If you’d like a preview of my reviews of Evita at the Palladium and Intimate Apparel at the Donmar, listen to the new episode of The London Theatre Review podcast, out this Sunday. Bye!

I have a table that looks similar. Looking forward to the August slowdown in art
Monday is fine with me.
