As you know I’m on holiday (see below), but I do think it’s important to let you know that Ivo van Hove’s production of Arthur Miller’s All My Sons, starring Bryan Cranston, Marianne Jean-Baptiste and Paapa Essiedu is on sale starting today.
I haven’t loved a lot of what IVH has done recently, but his production of Miller’s A View from the Bridge at the Young Vic, starring Mark Strong and Nicola Walker, was one of the best things I’ve ever seen. Absolutely outstanding.
This cast is obviously incredible, so I am confident it’ll be great. Also I can’t see any clear opportunity in the script for a young woman to flit about in a skimpy nightdress, which is a trope of his that irritates me.
It starts previews at Wyndham’s Theatre on November 14, and runs to February 7. Tickets are available now, here. Bookitbookitbookit.
